section9: This is from the day I fell in love with the Mets. I was never a baseball fan growing up. Like many kids, it didn’t appeal to me that much. It’s slow and boring, etc. etc. But, when I moved back to NJ, both my boss and roommate were huge Mets fans. So I fell into it, but didn’t really love it.  Then: Game 7, 2006 NLCS. This catch. Oliver Perez pitching the best game of his career. Also, most appropriately, the Mets loosing in heartbreaking fashion.  October 19, 2006. The day I fell in love with the Mets. Now, fuck those American League assholes from the bronx. Lets. Go. Mets! An unbelievably spectacular play.  As much as this game will go down in history for Mets fans in a negative light, reliving the experience of seeing that play live will always bring a smile to my face. That’s a hell of a night to fall in love.
